The Chief Justice has announced the launch of a new electronic filing (e-filing) system for all commercial courts in Kenya, effective next quarter. The system is expected to significantly reduce case backlogs and improve the efficiency of commercial dispute resolution.

- Real-time case tracking and notifications
- Electronic service of court documents
- Virtual hearing capabilities for certain case types
- Integration with the e-CRT (Costs Taxation) system
The rollout will begin with the Milimani Commercial Court in Nairobi before being extended to Mombasa, Kisumu, and other commercial court centres. Advocates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new system ahead of the launch.
